Beef Heart Or Blood Worms

Ok just got my oscar today YAY anyway which is better beef heart or blood worms or are they both the same because i was thinking of doing beef heart blood worms beef heart blood worms so are they the same or is it good to do a variance with them.

New Diet For My Oscar
2-3 pellets for my oscar twice a day (so far he has eaten 3 and rejected a fourth pellet)
2 times a week have beef heart or bloodworms
Crikets once or twice a week or more what do you think???.

Does this sound like a good variance for a oscar??? or am i missing something???.

Either beef heart or blood worms will be good as an occasional treat. Pellets as the staple ensure that he gets some fiber and vitamins. Gut loaded crickets will be good a couple times a week.

You seem to have a good plan so far. I would add a little more variety and try different things just to see what he likes.

brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, beefheart, bloodworms, and feed him some kind of color enhancing pellet once or twice a day EVERY day.

i feed cichlid staple in the morning, 3 pellets, at lunch time i feed 3 cichlid gold, at 6pm i feed him 3 New life spectrum, in the evening around 10:30 i feed (various) blood worm, brine shrimp, market shrimp, earth worms.

i feed my jag bloodworms twice a day a couple of pellets in the morn then worms in the eve. my fish seems piss'd all day till the worms come.

Thats what i plan to do also what type of shrimp do you feed oscars???? also i feed him oscar show pellets my lfs siads they are good it what he feed the store oscar so my oscar is used to it.
