Beef Heart Wanted...

Hi MFKs.... Does anyone knows where to find beef heart meat in California? I want to make my own fish food for my fish. Thanks for any info.

I would call a meat market. They can order some in for you or call a slaughter house. My fish, herp, and dogs love beef heart.

Yep call your local butcher. I have found bison heart to be far better. Its leaner and it usually doesnt have all the crap cattle are given

Grocery store occasionally, though the last trip to the local butcher was somewhere in the $1/lb range. Half for me, half for the fish.

There used to be a sponsor on here that went by the name Fish Dig Beefheart who used to sell some amazing food. I'm not sure if he's still around but if he is it's the best Beefheart food around.

This is my first time to DIY fish food for my fish... you can check it out on youtube or google it, lot of info there too.
