Go to the butchers, pick out a beef heart and tell him to trim all the white crap off. Then have him double grind it. My local grocers' meat dept. does this for free.
Freeze it into flat patties in a ziplock about 1/4" thick.
At feeding time, shave off some pieces with a sharp knife, toss them into the tank, they'll defrost quickly @ 80f+ and they'll float for as long as it takes to get devoured.
