Thanks. I got a dozen large feeders and put them in until the kelberi adjusts. i am currently breeding black convicts for feeders a filler/treat.

Thank You. Here is how i look at it. Goldfish from a LFS could contain ich and other diseases. Black Convicts constantly breed. The fry i keep in 82 degree water and i feed the fry massivore crushed into basically dust. same as they get older pieces of massivore. that way they eat healthy and healthy for the cichla to eat. but once my kelberi is fully pellet trained, these will be fed to him as a treat and not a main food source.

this gravel i actually like it. its a thin layer easier to keep clean. i have 3 plecos in the tank already. they are small still. here is a pic after a w/c just a bit ago. he still has a lot more gold coming in.

He looks awesome man. i wish smaller cichla were available cause i am a sucker for cool or interesting fish.

what are your plans for the guy long term and what tank will he go in. i need to conspire for one day when i have my own house if i can get one
