Well, I've been re-bitten by the aquarium bug and have done some work with my 90g mbuna tank. Haven't posted on here for quite a while, but figured I'd give you guys an update.

At it's height, my Mbuna tank had upwards of 30 fish of about three generations. After selling some and just attrition, numbers dwindled to five - three mangiano(?), 1 other blue/silver fish (can't remember the name) and 1 Kenyii, who rules the tank.

Fished my footlong pleco out of there to clean up my 90g SA tank and Sunday added new additions to the African tank: 5 danios to hopefully take the pressure off the three, 2-inch Demasoni ($2.50 each at Petsmart!), also, three 2-inch "Assorted" Africans (just to add a different color than blue).

Looks like I lost a couple of the danios overnight:(, but the new juvy cichlids seems to have made it through the night.

An interesting dynamic: one or two of the sumissive males chase the tiny newcomers - but I can already see at least one of Demasoni standing his ground and "flaring," have a feeling he's going to be a badass when he gets to maturity!

The big Kenyii, however, doesn't even mess with the little newcomers. He doesn't see them as a threat, but he appears to have ramped up chasing of the other submission adults, to make sure everyone stays in line and recognizes him as the boss!

Anyway, that's the latest on my tank. It's been up and running now for nearly 4(?) years.
