man i am so in love with ure blue based cross back!!! if i was gona get a fish, that wud be the one! i wouldnt even look at any other colour....its so awesome! but i heard they dont grow as large as the reds....

nice fish.

but the tank stand is breath-taking, well in a not-very-good way - a 6' long stand with no center support? must be good solid oak...but still, whoa!

Lol yeah they are pretty great but i am SR fan ... my SR is not so red - i have a feeling he will be very deep orange (but the body shape and finnage is gorgeous).

dont know about ultimate size difference - remains to be seen. But in any case i recon reds have more majestic finage and body shape (gotta love them massive pectorial fins and betta tails)

hahahaha thanks - don't worry, the stand is asian hardwood. no idea what is scientific name but i assure you it is very solid (very heavy). i used to have metal stand but my father said it was ugly so he commisioned a hardwood stand for me.

Yeah, my 8' tank has middle support though.

Great collection of aros, good to see that your asian aros can get along in the com tank.

Thanks bro. After moving them around it seems that the 'golden' varieties get along without too much fighting. i am not successful with the red so far who is now alone without anyone (bichir excluded) to bully and he is pouting as he is no longer swims but still eats i.e. sits in the corner (after BB was moved out)
