as for the catfish, sadly to say those are used as feeders in my area,
its called clarias batrachus, people also consumed them here,
they contain a very high protein, much better than the gold fish.
I've noticed that after a few weeks feeding those catfishes to my bichirs, my bichirs looks rather hefty, specially my congicus.

Walking Catfish as feeders What I wouldn't give to be able to legally keep one, much less have them be so common they're used as feeders. Must be doing the trick though, the polys look great

when it comes to Asia, everything is possible. Some are using eels for feeders, and its all depend on which is a cheaper food for keeping our pets healthy.
