Begining of my fish room.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nice man. Sounds like its coming along quite well.

Looks great. I also LOVE the dimensions of that big acrylic tank. This is the thermostat I use to heat my reptile/fish room. http://www.reptilebasics.com/Johnson-Controls-Thermostat-Pre-Wired-p-16178.html It works really well for me. It's not proportional, meaning it doesn't control how much electricity your heater gets to hold a steady temperature. Instead, when the temp hits the pre-programmed temp, it just shuts everything off. Proportional is nice, but more expensive. The ONLY problem I have with this thermostat is that in February my 1500 watt heater tripped the safety switch in the power strip attached to the thermostat. But, that was on the coldest days of the year (right around -15) in a room that is completely unheated except for that space heater, and I use that heater to heat a room to 82 degrees. I would ask the company to wire in a different power strip if I were to buy another one, or you can buy it un-wired and wire it yourself (couple bucks cheaper but not really worth the hassle).

My air pump finally arrived, it was holding me back. My other blower was just too overkill for what i am doing.

Sponges should arrive tomorrow or the next day. I'll get some pics soon I hope. I have the mother in law staying. Been here for about 3 weeks. 1 more week and I'm free to go back to the fish room.

Part of the reason this build is going so slow, Had to save this Iridescent shark. Yes... that is his bone sticking out of his pectoral fin. He was in a 125g. He's 22 inches. Eyes all clouded up. He's doing better now, still recovering though.
