Beginner here needing help identifying a Cichlid

Would be appreciated, I picked up this little guy at the local walmart because I fell in love with him, I usually shop at the town fish store because the guy is a good friend but this little guy caught my eye and cannot seem to identify him.
 
It very well could be, I check them out and they look similar but maybe it will show colors with age? it doesn't look at bright as the ones in the pics. It has pretty dull blues at the moment, but I still love the little guy.
 
Usually when you get them from the pet store they are not in great shape. With clear water and good food he should brighten up. Otherwise it may be bad genetics, time will tell.

nice pick.....i've never been inside of Walmart ! they sell fish????is the quality better than Pet-co???? man i feel sorry for those fish there,they look all tore-up- underfed looking fish.
 
Yeah Walmart treats their fish like crap, it's so sad, all of there green spotted puffers are turning black, I had to rescuse 2 cichlids i fell in love with, the other one is a darker color with dark blue stripes, can't get a good enough pic to post or i would.
