Beginner planted tank

Nice avatar fishbum, heres mine. I've had a few of those coralife fixtures, obviously I loved the first which I why I bought more of them but noticed a decreased lifespan with each one I bought. Another issue is that t5ho is much more popular than regular t5 so replacing lamps with plants in mind can be a pain. I have good luck with aquaticlife dual t5ho, a little more expensive but under $100 and much easier to find lamps for.

What is it about basset hounds? God I love them. My profile page has some puppy pics on it.

I like the Coralife I linked for the price for a low light tank. I have gotten at least 4 years out of 4 or 5 of them. I like them for non planted tanks too. I figure if they stop working, I'll spend another 50 or so bucks on a new one.

I have 4 bulb T5 HO Coralife on a high tech tank. Had it for 6 months now with no problems. I also have a T5 HO Aquaticlife on another high tech tank I have had for over a year with no issues.

Thanks a lot fishbum for the links. I'm no longer going with the led lights. I was going to take Ian21777's advice and get a t5 light. But which would u think is better? The one u recommended or the aqueon t5? And I have 2 tanks empty in my garage a 20 gallon and a 30 tall. I'm going to use the 30 tall and probably should have mentioned that earlier. And since the change in ligniting would crypts still be ok? And I was looking at a plant package on aquatic jungle that was really nice for beginners but it was pricey. I'm going to look into the co2 Yeats also but what what the Seachem plant primer?

Crypts will be good. You can find good deals for plants on aquabid. Shipping is normal, not expensive like fish.

In my 36bow I have a couple lemon tetras, a neon or 2 (lemon and neons are from old schools I'm letting dwindle), rummynose, corries and atleast 5 dozen cherry shrimp. All did fine with the angels.
