not gonna argue if its worse then a bee sting... the info i got was from someone i know who was stung... i was also told to take drugs when i had my daughter, and managed just fine without them. pain tolerance is different in people... and as suggested secondary bacterial infections are likely moremdangerous then the initial sting.... but Any animal bite ect should be looked at by a healthcare individual.

my female has made it very clear not to mess with her and has used her tail first when ive done water changes... while my male will avoid me at all costs.... not all rays will flee... but i agree it all boils down to respecting what the animal is capable of.. OP imo... if you keep a large reptile like a monitor a ray is no more or less dangerous imo, actually imo the monitor is potentially the more dangeroud of the 2;)
