Beginner Ray

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Most big female rays can reach 22 to 24 inches across there back. And can get about 36 inches long.

Alot of the males are 16 to 20 inches across and can reach 30 inches long.

That is why you need a tank with a big foot print.

What would you guys recommend for a first Ray. i have never owned one, but would like to. I hear about teacup rays and have been thinking about getting one of those for my tank.......Thanks

I hate to be the bearer of bad news again. But, rays are restricted in your state. And, the state has yet to authorize permits for any hobbyist requests.

I suggest reading the Restricted Species Lists for Florida's regulations.

I know it sucks. I found out the hard way when I moved from one state to another. I don't want to see anyone go through the legal hassles I had to go through when my hatchery was raided.
