...About the Possibility that Poltergeists Actually Exist.

Today, I endured two experiences that each raised the hairs on the back of my neck.

As I woke up this morning, I felt footsteps walk down to the foot of my bed. I actually held my breath in anticipation of the bed-shaking butt-wiggle that always preceeded the inevitable and unceremonious 'plop' of my cat jumping to the floor. I shrugged this incident off as being the tail-end of a dream I couldn't recall.

Earlier this evening, as I was doing the dishes, I felt something touch the back of my leg in EXACTLY the spot my cat used to touch her nose to let me know she was back there. Of course, when I looked, there was nothing there.

If these events continue, I may be forced into rethinking some of my long-standing beliefs.

BTW, did I forget to mention that my home and hatchery were previously a church and parsonage?

Phil,

It probably is your cat. I had a similar experience when my dog died before. For about 3-5 days after she died. I would hear scratching at my front door like how my dog used to scratch for me to open the door for her. Every time I opened the door, nothing was there and a few hours later I would hear it again.

i believe it has more to do with the unknown powers of the brain.

this is also possible. Some suggest that poltergeist activities are suggestion of the brain
manifesting itself in a physical form. Pretty creepy stuff.

J/k!

I think it may all be in our minds? But I guess it's real to the people that it happens too? Thats why it's a mystery! I love these stories around this time,it's almost Halloween! Not to take anyone's stories lightly,
