Behavior change

[cichlid savage]

I put my Tem in the tank with the big boys this week. Prior to that he always seemed a bit skittish when I came near the tank he shared with a smaller pike and a RTCxTSN. He ruled the tank but didnt seem to care for me being close to his domain.

Now that he's in the big tank he is a different fish temperment wise. he swims to the front of the tank and begs like the others everytime I enter the room. He is much more active. He even feeds more aggressively as if that were possible. (He has to or he will starve)

All in all IMO' he's a much happier fish and it shows. As soon as he moves up a peg or 2 in the pecking order I'm sure he will show more color. Right now the mono's are definitely running things.

even though groups of cichla tend to be aggressive and beat the piss out of one another i feel they do better in groups. you know what will make this thread even better some pics

All weekend. There isn't much to do here on weekends except busy work. So I get to catch up on my posting. I work 1 week of nights out of 3. Fri-Sat.
