how sad... for everyone... ignorants and beliefs get in the way of reality.. i hope if they rebuild it is somewhere out of that area..

No offense to reptile lovers, but if the native people feel the americans are a threat and unwanted, their will should be respected. We certainly haven't heard their side of the story, and two of their children are still missing. I think its culturally arrogant to assume that the natives are just superstitious savages whose will should be ignored. Charity begins at home, it is not meant to be an exotic adventure nor for one's celebrity and aggrandizement.

it says that they heard rumors that the children were fed to crocs which is why they burnt it down. It had nothing to do with their beliefs or culture. Just rage that was incited by gossip. I don't care if they are white, black, red, or yellow, It was stupid of them to do this and any idiot would understand that- at least that is what I would have thought before reading the article.
 
I would assume they're going to rebuild the house right where it was at........Just the house was burnt down, not the whole facility.......
 
Just read the news release. The local police quite obviously had no intention to stop anything. That means you have zero backup down there from the authorities in the future as well. Get out. That "psychic" knows exactly how to play "Jim Jones".

They're lucky they weren't there.

I did not see one native interviewed, everything you state is hear say. The facts are that two children are missing and the natives blame the outsiders. They should respect the will of the people ans stay away.
