Some of my fondest childhood memories is of the BIA. My grandmother used to take me there all the time. When she passed we put her ashes in the Detroit river, where you can see the rencen and ambassador bridge.

There's nothing like that first glance after walking in the doors. That green tubular walkway all lined with the stainless steel.

Last I heard they were going to lease the island to the state parks for 30yrs & then the state would run/manage things.
