Belly Crawler Pike

I’m getting mixed info on how big these get. I’ve read 5 inches and some say 8 inches. Mine is about 51/2 inches and very thick, maybe 1.inche around. I’m just trying to decide if/when I need to move him to another tank. He’s with fish that get pretty big right now including a Venezuelan pike. Right now the belly crawler is the clear tank boss, guys a beast, and I figured with his attitude if he gets 8-9”, he could stay put, otherwise I’ll move him.

It can get to 8" total length. It all depends on amount of water changes, water conditions (soft water vs hard water), diet, and genetics.

Thanks, if he can hit 8”, I think he’ll be able to hang with the bigger fish.
