Could I maybe scorch the pvc or just paint it black with some krylon fusion? or just get a piece of abs pipe? what size pipe do you recommend?

Or just use a nice piece of driftwood. Mine excavated under my big driftwood pieces to carve little caves out for themselves.

Driftwood is too expensive, I dont think I can use the pieces of drift I have because one is burnt a little bit and the other has a little bit of bark on it. ABS it is. What size should I get? I was gonna get a 8" long piece around 2-3" in diameter.

UPDATE: I went to petsmart yesterday to look around with a friend. I didn't have any money so I wasn't planning on buying fish. They had one pike cichlid left and it was priced to sell at 2.50. I borrowed the money from a friend and the pike is in my tank already punking the other fish!

I've noticed when they settle in they like to act 6 times their size.

Mine is definitely like this! Doesn't care whose territory she is in!

Nice!! Lets see some picts!! I got one from petsmart and he is only about 4 inches and holds his own against all off my other fish (which are around 12 inches, and a 14 inch aro). Your guy should do well! Nice pick up!!
