I have 2 males and four females of these little devils coming my way on Wednesday.

Can't wait to get them, a livebearer that will kick a lot of Cichlids asses!...not that I'm organising underground inter-species fish fight clubs...that would be wrong.

Anyway my question is, does anybody know at what size these fish become sexually mature?
 
Sorry I forgot to add this. multiply (size of MM) mm X 0.0393700787. They are from 3" to 7" depending on male or female
 
"They mature at approximately 75 mm and grow to 200 mm, whereas males mature at approximately 55 mm and grow to 120 mm."

Thanks West1, exactly what I was after, I had found quite a bit of information on them already on keeping them and breeding them but couldnt find any info on what size they could breed at so it would have been guess work.

They do look crazy, unfortunately I have never seen them in the flesh before so I'm looking forward to Wednesday. I just hope I can get them to take dead foods or else my girlfriends guppy tank will have to become the official feeder tank! :popcorn:
 
Sorry buddy, can't help you, I live in Ireland and am getting them from England. Just noticed that it didn't say my location on my profile so sorry for the confusion, it just said 'round the corner', dunno what I was smoking that day, its fixed now.

I feel your pain though, I have been wanting these for years and then just happened to stumble across them last week :D

They are bred in the Czech Republic though so if you know any lfs's importing there own fish they should be able to get them for you.
 
BobCat, you got to post pics when you get them. Try to see if you can get them eating :)
