Anybody but Affleck... Maybe he can pull it off but it's a big gamble. Especially with the hundreds of millions this movie will surely cost. Somebody's job will be gone when this thing bombs. Didn't the new Superman do somewhat poorly, box office wise? I haven't seen it yet...

Yes here in the states it didn't do well at all but overseas it racked in big bucks. Losing Nolan and Bale hurt DC so now they are swinging for the fences. They needed a name to legitamize this film and the big names are either casted in other franchises or just don't fit the part.
Good points here...He was pretty good in The Town and I wasn't aware that the Batman character was going to be in that frame of mind.It sounds like the movie might be along the lines of the Dark Knight films.

No he isn't going to direct it unless there is a last minute change. Both Argo and The Town were two good flicks again Ben is a much better and wiser actor now. Plus like the article you just posted points out, both the studio and Ben have alot of riding on this.
I think Ben can pull off the older, jaded, done with being the hero for a city and people that continues to keep messing up.

I wasn't as hard on him in Daredevil as most on here so while I'm not exactly excited about him playing Batman,I will go and see it.

No I didn't see it ... I'm boycotting all Comic book flicks until they give Submariner a movie. I did see the latest SpiderMan flick a month ago on cable and it wasn't that bad.
