berkely gulp alive

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i guess other people have had success but IMO in NE i havenot heard anyone using in, it is not good if you a just blindly fishing either Ceeej , thus the method of chunking seems more appropriate of an option for you

Voss, I fish the panhandle of florida and it must be different down there as it works so well we actually make fun of the fisherman that use it cause it catches fish so easily! Must be different for some odd reason on the east coast. :screwy:

i know of it working down there, but it seems so unconventional on the east coast
maybe for flounder it would work, but stripers i dont think so you need a 12"+ big fat plastic to catch the attention of a striper

i could see it working for fluke, from a boat jigging especially if you know they are there could be really effective, but from shore everything is hit and miss usually miss

Yeah no one really fishes for stripe there even though they are present.

You cant beat gulp on on out going tide fishing the grass flats for reds, specks, and flounder!

last time i went striper fishing i used fresh sand eels and didnt even get a bite

that doesnt mean the bait wasnt effective just means you were fishing the wrong spot, or the wrong tide, i would look more into the area your fishing and learn what are the most effective techniquesand tides to fish etc

berkley stuff is alright, really good for salt water, get alot of good size flathead of here using that stuff and is awesome for jigging out in the boat for snapper ect...

DONT GET IT!!!!
I got gulp its pretty much the same thing. And they dry up and i lost good weedless hooks. Catch fish but they shrivle up within a month or so. Thats keeping them in the bag. If you accidentally leave one out of the bag its hard as a rock by overnight. And this stuff is slimy and smells. try something else
