My female CPO crayfish now has eggs under it's tail :naughty:. Does this mean its pregnant and should be having babies soon? Or is it not necessarily pregnant. There is a male with it so I guess there is a possibility I should be getting babies soon. Bought these guys for $25 each so I'd be really happy to find some fry.:popcorn::popcorn:
Thanks!

Did you have anything in the tank with the female (including the male cray)? Fish and other crays can pick off eggs from a berried female. There's also the possibility there was something wrong with the berry, it was infertile or the cray was stressed (from tankmates, water conditions, lack of hiding and so forth). I'd go with "sometimes things just don't work out" though ... a lot of cray keepers (myself included) have had females lose berries for unknown reasons, just happens sometimes.

My crays never even berry, i saw them mate too.
Happened again not to long ago.

Their hybrids so most likely infertile.
