Wow, Chicklette. That's a great idea for all three of your berried marbles. Great for you too, I'm hoping. How many berries does each spawning marble carry on the average before hatching? Just curious.

Also, you can easily thin down the numbers by feeding them out when they hatch. I'd think most anything would nom on a tiny crayfish.

Well I have more marbles then three. Now I have babies, lol. I can see just a few. They are so small and cute. Well I can see about 50 eggs on each of them. Most of them have eggs now.

Well some people want some marbles so Im saving them for people. But ya, I guess you could do that but they too darn cute.

That is a great article but my babies didn't stay on the mom.

It's no wonder the author of the article in this thread reccomends them to be used as live food for fish with a mouth big enough to ingest them. With each having about 50 eggs, you are going to have a tank load in no time. Are you sure a 75 gallon is going to be large enough to handle the population? I would be worried on that point. But if the majority of them are not going to be hanging around for very long, then I guess there should be no reason for concern. Right?

Maybe you mother's haven't had the full oportunity for to give the kid's a chance to piggy-back on mom, yet. Give it a few days or so and just see what they do. It'll be interesting to watch and find out. Good luck with your new broods.
