Berries!!

God I love living in the country.
Black raspberries are nearly done but reds starting. Black berries too!! Wild blue berries soon, grapes in awhile and my fresh planted goji berries are gonna produce this year.

So what is everyone PICKING?

We had a few grape vines in the back when I bought the property a few years ago but I was the only one who would eat them when they would ripen.After a few years I cut them all down.I also have some a few of some type of black berry tree that grows throughout the property and I'm the only one in the family that eats those too lol...not bad I guess,for being in the middle of Philthy lol.

Oh they are!! Forgot mulberry season just passed too.

Used all the black raspberries to make muffins for my kids. Didnt freeze any but freezing bunch of these.

What gf and I whipped up tonight
Mixed for the oven


Making the drizzle

Now add chocolate

Fresh berries are so much better then store bought. In SC, when I was growing up, I remember there being blackberry patches everywhere when I went walking and I would always pick some to bring home.

Strawberries are about done, as are the raspberries. Blueberries are in full swing, we picked a couple gallons earlier tonight.

Living in Oregon we're blessed with a plethora of berries. And Marion county produces 90% of the world's marionberries. The berry facility down the road is in full swing 24 hours a day right now to keep up with the harvests.
