I am buying a new sump suitable for 200 gallons for my 180. What would be the best pump to use for this system. I want alot of flow. Ive never had a sump so im not sure what to buy

I have been using this magnetic drive pump here for about three years in my 150 gallon. It is the 1200 gph model, I have had no issues with it.

I have 2, 5-gallon buckets of Coralife Bio-Balls in the sump and I use a low-loft polyester batting (from Walmart) that I change out every week.

i would get a 1200gph pump.. just get a simple pond pump instead of an aquarium pump (they are cheaper and last longer)

Rio pumps move water per watt of energy consumed and are German made and have a great warranty.

The best? IDK, but I use a Mag Drive as well. 6ft head and still plenty of circulation. For Media I've got 5 gallons of bio balls, Bio Bale, and Scrubbies for Biological and I use those blue pond filter pads for mechanical. The Mag Drive services a 110 gal, and a 150 gal that are run in line with one another. Sump is a 40 breeder with a modified rubbermaid drawer unit as the tower.
