Besides Fish-What else does one collect..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My first thought was that I didn't collect anything, but I guess I do. I have an assortment of not too common musical instruments--a bowed psaltry, a musical saw, a hammered dulcimer and a semi-concert grand pedal harp (of course we have a piano, too). Would like to add a glass armonica to my collection http://www.finkenbeiner.com/GLASSHARMONICA.htm Can't justify it as this time, as I don't even practice my harp.

I have a great windchime collection, and on stormy windy nights we get quite the serenade. Fortunately, there are no close neighbors to be bothered by the "music".

It's actually quite a wonderful collection of chimes. My large chimes have quite a magnificent sound.

Is that a Rommy SVD you have? Did you buy or build those AK varients? Whats the country of origin for the AK drums you have? The 2 I have are Chinese. Where'd you get the AR drum?

Thanks for making me feel unworthy.

I have an SVD,my dad built the AK's,and most of these guns were his passed to me as he just recently passed away. From what I know the drums came from wherever he could get them,a few are Chinese at least one is Romanian.I don't know where he got a drum for an AR.;)

Your pieces are super clean,I would love to add those to the collection.:headbang2

Judging from the front handguards the SVD looks to be Romanian. Can you get cleaner pics of the AK and AR drums? I thought only Beta C made drums for the AR/M-16 rifles. The AR mag you have looks to be older than the MWG-90 round mag.

Fawsome collection you have.

My 3 AKs are SAR1s, all have the Red Star Arms adjustable trigger sets as well as a few other RSA parts. The one with the folding stock has a UltiMak forward upper stock with a BSA red dot that is good to 300 yards.

The bubbafied SKS I have is a ChiCom manufacture.

Edit: I just did a quick search, The AR/M16 drum you have looks to be a ChiCom 120 round drum, nice find.

It is an FPK (PSL) which is based on the RPK receiver, barrel and trigger group. This is a designated marksmen weapon. Basically it is a pumped up RPK ..SVD uses a different receiver, trigger group, gas system / operating system, and barrel than the FPK (PSL) or Zavasta M-76..It is only loosely based on the Kalashnikov.

Excellent collection of Eastern bloc hardware you have there BTW :)
