I has a tetratec 9w96 on my 300g running about 7 feet of flexible bubble wall. It crapped out after about 2 years so now I need a new pump Anyone have any input on what I should look at? Preferably something that does not sound like an air compressor running in a garage

Thanks

I got one and it pushes a LOT of air. I'm not using it right now. It was hooked up before temporarily on another tank and ran it for a few days. I'm saving it for a future project.

The noise isnt too bad. If it's inside your aquarium stand and the stand is built with heavy wood all around you will hear it some. Also, it does get a little warm hence the cooling fins.

The price on the site is real good. I bought mine for about $70 but that was early this year at an LFS.

I use nothing but millionair MA600 air pumps now....durable..inexpencive dual outlet pumps that are very quiet. I have 10 of them running and you cant hear them. They push out a good volume of air even in 30" deep tanks but the adjustable features about worthless...just leave it wide open...

Hard to beat for for the price I pick them up on Ebay for $14.00 or so. I have a couple that are still running after three years of continuious use.

I used Tetra Luft pump.. when I used airpumps

I agree. I have one outlet of one of these ($10 on ebay) running a 3" bubble disc right now and it's a pretty serious column. you could buy two and plumb all 4 outlets together.

I have the corallife luft pump that you pointed out. Well if thats the bigger model of the 2 anyways. It is pretty noisy outside of shelter but it does move air good!

I have a whisper 1000. It has dual oulets, adj output and quiet. 10 yrs and still running.

i'm using Wisa Linear Air Pump . very powerful running 8 air lines with no prob.. you can find good deals on it on ebay.
