What’s up everybody. I’m sure it’s plenty post about the best air pump for a 300 gallon tank. Also running a 100 gallon grow out and possibly a 40 gallon breeder. The 100 gallon and 40 will be ran on sponge filters. Which air pump will work best?

Best would be subjective. The real quistion in the end is. How much air Lpm. Will be neeses for what u are teing tobrun and most reliable bidget freindly dor its size. U can get one big one to run them all if in same location would be ideal

Tetra whispers are nice up until 6 months to a year when the diaphragms start to degrade.. I have a box full of them. I've been using a hydor 10watt for a while now seems to hold up well. If you don't mind the noise piston pumps put out a ton of air & are budget friendly but can run super hot at times. Alitas are great but can be a little on the expensive side. As previously said it's all up to what you want it to put out & if noise is a concern.
