I currently have a 12g nano cube with 24w light. I have your basic h crabs fish and LR no coral. I am looking at a 24g aquapod, but stock it only comes with 64w compact florescents. Also considering nanocube 24g with 72w. I don't want to keep anything to complicated that needs the hundred dollar hood upgrades, or chemicals. Which tank would you recommend? Any other brands you have used let me know, I would like to stay in the $200 range, and don't mind waiting around for the right one to pop up on clist if I can get it cheap. I like aquapods 12g it has 54w which is alot for a stock tank, but in reality a 12g is just too small I'd like some room to work with, but keep some good lighting. Would like to keep gsp grass, basic easy corals.

Are you just looking to keep basic coral's like zoanthids, soft corals, mushroom's simple stuff like that then get the 24 galloon nano cube or if fund's are available the 29 gallon bio-cube.

I would need to buy the nano cube online, the local saltwater store has aquapods model. The price is the same, as dr fosters. I can get the 29 bio-cube for $300 at petsmart, but with the petperks card it is only $240. I want to keep soft corals, and a bubble tip anemone. Zoanthids are cool too, they have some really nice colors.
I still have my eye on craigslist, hopefully some Dr. is looking get a tank out the door.:)

Most of what you want to keep would be fine with the lighting in the all in one tank's it's just the matter of finding what you like best.

I found an 6month old aquapod for $150 offered $100 and he said he would take $120,I can live with that. None of my current tanks are new except my nano cube, so this will just add to the collection, if it is in good shape I will prob get it and maybe pick up the stand for it at the lfs.

Hope it is in good shape, he said he is upgrading size wise. Going to look at it this weekend, only thing about current is the lights go about 5-6months and my lfs sells the replacement lights for $30 each. Know of any good sites to pick up some replacements? I will prob just start fresh off the bat because I don't know how old they'd be.
