Owned a couple of dazirans now, a basic chinese brand, they have one piece glass fronts. Have been good so far. Have a standard 5 foot tank, but no idea what brand it is, so i ticked other.
Quick note on Topfin tanks. I called them and they use tempered glass for the bottom piece. The side glass is either reg glass or tempered depending on what facility made the tank. Just wanted everyone to know this if they were planning on drilling a Topfin aquarium. Do not do it!
I bought an all glass 29g and a top fin 10g, and they were really cheap POS's and I always worried about them breaking under the weight of substrate and decor. THe molding was made of cheap plastic, and the glass was of minimum thickness. Nice for weight, not so nice for quality/sturdiness.
It's no surprise to me that all glass has the most votes, because it's the commonly available brand. It becomes a sort of popularity contest.
If you've ever owned a fujimoto, you know exactly what kind of quality I'm talking about.
The center brace on larger aquariums, and the braces on the edges, plus the thickness of the glass make it a solid aquarium.
Glass cages look like really nice aquariums too, but I've never bought one yet.
I like all Glass
But in Hong Kong they have these black framed all glass tanks that look hot.
The black frame is in the middle of the glass wish we had them here in OZ
Have you guys got them in the states ?
