Try some dried shrimp, if they don't eat it, what I do is throw in a bunch of bloodworms and then throw the shrimp near it and the Arowana takes them, it now loves them. Try keeping the live food like feeder fish low, they may carry disease and give your fish even more colors (by that, I mean white spots and stuff)! And too many feeder fish and fatty foods will build up fat behind your Arowanas eyes and give them drop eye before they get old. Make sure the tank is at least the size of mine (75 gallons, although not a lot), because if it doesn't have room to turn around it will get gill curl, that untreated can kill the beloved fishes that you own.
To me arowana are like stingrays you should have a tank that is at least 30 inches front to back thus making it the minimum best for them larger is even better. When they get big like 24inchs they need allot of room to swim. Arowana love the 7.5mm floating nls pellets. Talapia. Shrimp.

I think most of us know that arowanas need a large tank. Mines in a grow out 125. Soon 400+

Agreed, most people know but I don't think they really know. That is why I think most people say their arowana are really aggressive. Its really because the fish does not have enough room to actually swim for its liking thus having aggression towards other fish in its area. When they are large they claim a huge portion of the tank.
