You can keep clownfish, angels, or lion fish with them aslong as they dont fit in there mouth you can keep it with them. And there not always in there cave. Once they grow to you most times they will great you by coming out.

I hope your talking about the dwarf angels.. which require special herbivorous based diet to do more then barely survive in most tanks.. and maybe a fuzzy dwarf lion?... because a voltian and most other species will need ALOT more then even a 55.. I'm sorry but.. this is of course after the OP dumps a few hundred dollars into a proper SW set-up... and knows what to look for in looking for a healthy fish, because most LFS do not offer a refund on SW stock. I'm not trying to be rude, or mean.. but thats just flat bad advise imo.

OP you have quiet a few options. I'de nail down exactly what size tank you are going to get, do some paruseing on the forum. the picture lounge sub-forums can give you some general looks, and the boards some info. Come up w/ an idea.. and Post away. Spend some time wandering your local LFS ect as well. Even if you find something you absolutely want but may be to large for your planned tank size.. people can give you more exact suggestions on species that would be suitable but have say similar colors, personalities, ect to what you saw/researched and really liked.

Discus are NOT ideal for a novice fish keeper. The water restrictions are much too difficult, not to mention they're extremely expensive.

I'd start with something like a green terror. They're very pretty fish and lots of fun.
