i went to one fish store in brisbane and it had a hobby shop on either side of it, one side was general hobby shop stuf, the other side was r/c stuff. i can't remember what either the fish shop or the hobby shop were called, but the fish shop was pretty good, they sold alot of acrylic tanks. it was in a newish 2 storey complex thing, and on a busy road

peaock bass and birchir are going to be banned in oz on the 7th of november, go to the 'all australian mfk'ers need to read this' thread in 'the lounge' section for more info

Atlas have changed alot due to a change in ownership approx 1.5 yrs ago, which is a shame because it was great. If you are after saltwater i would steer clear of Aquarama(the one with the hobby stores next to it) they import their stock from Indonesia most of the time and the owner has told me they do not use cyanide,,,BUT you never can tell. I also don't want to put the place down because the owner (AL) treats me great and they get a great range of exotic fish at reasonable prices but i have only ever had one fish live out of many from them.

Besides my disappointment with the change in ownership to Atlas i still shop there, the stock is good, can sometimes be overpriced, but their marine fish come from Cairns Marine(most of the time) and i trust them, my Moorish Idol came from them and i have had him for a year and 4 mths.
Another place to go that is brilliant(except their prices are a bit higher) is Clayfield Aquarium, in Clayfield obviously. Their corals are not as vibrant as Atlas but the fish are healthy as, and their display tank will take your breath away!!!

Hope this helps.
