Red Dragon Aquatics (formerly Aquarium Beyond) in Darra have the best prices on the vast majority of livestock, food and accessories. They only deal in freshwater and have the best range of rare/exotic fish. He doesn't keep them all in the shop and can literally get you anything within 24 hours.

I used to go to Pet City and Annerley and while Pet City has a great range, it is all the same stuff to me now and the price isn't as good. Annerley still have great Africans (although you pay for it) but the rest is average.

never been to the red dragon aquatics place, they have many american cichlids?

Not huge but ok - Oscars, Dempsey, Green Terrors, Fenestratus, Convicts, Red Devils, Flowerhorns, Braziliensis, Splendida, Green Severum, Peacock Bass, Heckelii, Jurupari currently. Sometimes Synspilum, Jags, etc.

Zorba - where is Smiths and how are their prices?

Anyone been to QLD Coral Creations in Sumner, heard it is great for all your coral and the likes.

i went to one fish store in brisbane and it had a hobby shop on either side of it, one side was general hobby shop stuf, the other side was r/c stuff. i can't remember what either the fish shop or the hobby shop were called, but the fish shop was pretty good, they sold alot of acrylic tanks. it was in a newish 2 storey complex thing, and on a busy road
