It's the upbringing I guess that is a big factor. Animals, in the sense of Pavlov dogs, get used to what they are fed and consider only that to be food.

But overall, basic instincts never die off. It appears that chances are any predator will one day remember it's a predator. Even the ones professionally trained for many years. And unfortunately it comes without a warning.

I am not trying to be an oracle or a bad-wisher here. Quite the opposite. And stating what is known anyway.

Understand and sincere thanks for the concern here guys.

The Mala was brought in at a much smaller size about 2 months back. Been keeping this Cuban for 5 years - the only species it hates is Oscar. :)
