  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think that the best advice to the OP is to go for steady even growth, over the long haul it's the healthiest way to raise all fish, including rays.

Belt on one another I thought this was a good decision on the good and bad about feeding pellets if the ?s I have asked can't be answered by the person telling us how bad pellets are for rays I don't think he is in any position to tell us how bad and harmful they are for our ray

If iwas of help then your welcome mate, its all about a good varied diet, not that i am a pro but it has to be the best for all fish, animals.

Good luck kida

I dont think i said but if they dont take pellet then its a pain at times but stuff prawn or what ever with the pellet to get them fat, then when a bit bigger you can fatten them up and then starve for a few days or a week and feed them pellets, i added quite a few and just waited for 10 mins then removed whats left, it didnt come first time but they mouthed the pellets over a few days then started to take them and love them now.

control group? notes? methodology? or just anecdotes?
That's like saying when you go to a bar you're researching alcohol

While I agree about the ash content being high, 10% moisture content certainly isn't an issue. Most frozen foods have 80-90% moisture content.

Not only will all of those nutrients be found in a high quality pellet food, the pellet food will have additional nutrients added above & beyond that. (in the vitamin pre-mix)

the problem with all prepared foods is that they are stuffed with filler, cooked at extreme temperatures and UV sterilized, both of which destroy vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
