fluval 405's are rated for 100 gallons. i love mine, but i have 2 on my 75 gallon.

Stole the words right out of my mouth:irked::nilly::headbang2

Fluval 404 on mine and i love it. same thing as fluval 405 pretty much, but more expensive. As of right now you can buy fluval 404's on ebay for 86.00 with free shipping you cant beat that price im buying 2 more this week before prices go up or you have to pay for shipping.

Eheim 2028 (plus a Hydor ETH 300w in-line heater!) or Eheim 2128 thermofilter. But I like overfiltering my tanks :P

I just got rid of my Fluval 303 and 404 and replacing them with Rena XP4. Its been my experience that the fluvals are a pain in the neck when youre putting the lids back on. Sometimes I would have to do it severaltimes before I didnt get the trickle leak coming out. I have never had that prob with my renas so Im converting over.

Depending on stocklist I'd recommend an XP3, maybe XP4 if needed.

FYI, theres brand new 404's on ebay for $87 and free shipping. Gonna order one for the 75 I'm buying tomorrow.

we have a canister made for ponds up to 500g at my work. its 350gph. its also only 130 dollars. it has 3 media baskets. is this good.
