Carbon is for lazies. I dont need carbon, That's how I roll.

:iagree: Exactly...religious maintenance and proper feeding and there's no need to waste the money.

hydro carbon from two little fishes is good.... seachem matrix.... usually i just buy the cheap crap considering its all really useless after a week anyway

All things considered (particle size, shape, chemical purity, pore size, etc.), I would recommend Kent Reef Carbon.
I took your advice earlier and got seachems stability. Its not cycling my fry tank thanks bud :)

No offense but your tank looks cloudy as hell in your pics;)(If I am thinking of the right guy). Also my water is always invisible :)

Also I change 50% of my water every 4 days I under stock and I have an eheim 2215 an ac110 a top fin 60 HOB and an Under gravel filter. I over maintain over filter and under stock so booya :)

Bio-chem zorb Is damn high grade carbon with a few other absorbtive resins in it.
It does not absorb ammonia.

Zeolite is for chumps. And cat litter.

To stay on topic: whenever my reef water gets a little cloudy or yellowish (Gelbstoff, anyone?), I find aqua-clear carbon inserts to be cheap and effective. Not glamorous, just effective.
