B/c its soo fun to watch even thoguht its cruel, but its the way of life. Im thinking of blackbaned sunfish, or dollar sunfish, the black banded gets 4in max and the dollar gets 5in max. i will keep one or 2 in a 30g tank is that enough?

just get a betta and a few guppies.. lol "breed" the guppies and feed the babies to the betta.. my 10 gal produced about 30 babies a week until i took all the commons out and put fancies in...

Upgrade to a 55 gallon between petland and used tanks for sale you can get a good deal on one. Then buy a Gulper at 11" and with there swimming habits one should be okay in a 55. You can get one off infinite aquatics for $70. You could also try a Chaca Chaca though they're not for everyone as they don't really move. Coolest thing is havin one in a tank with sand watchin it bury itself and then suckin in poor feeders. Chaca's are pretty cheap I got mine for $15 at 3". Plus it's wild they disapear into the substrate and totally wait for prey to cross their path and in a instant it's gone. It's like watchin National Geographic a true predator. They don't grow large only downside is they're not active lest there's food in the water or if they're disturbed. I've got 2 false jaguar cats with him and they drive him nuts. Funny is I can catch him in a net easy doesn't bother him it's the high energy diggin the false's due persistently nudgin him till he can't take it any more and he flees.

how big do chaca chacas get?

how about raphael catfish? i'm not so sure though. anyone hav anything to say abt this?
