Best catfish bait

I use live or cut bait I've had best results with green sunfish and bullhead but frogs and crawfish have worked good for me to and when I use live I get beef or turkey it don't get bites as fast but they usually get bigger fish

I said chicken liver is good for channel cats, but the average size of those doesnt touch the potential size of the fish you are going to attract with live. If you are after channel cats, that will work great, but if you are after a trophy then use live or cut.
 
that's the truth... IN GENERAL live/fresh cut baits will catch bigger blues and flatheads... go to any catfish tournament for either one of those fish and ask if anybody is using chicken livers and you'll be laughed out of town. That being said some smaller bodies of water livers are incredibly productive, but on average the fish caught will be much smaller

I stated my case, it seems this bunch just doesn't get it or want to listen...
 
can i see some picks of yalls trophys cause it seems yall are talking from second hand i never said i caught trophy fish or anything i have caught some of my biggest cats on livers i was just stateing my opinion my biggest fish my be little to yall who knows it seems you just want to argue and act like your the master catfisher
 
no, not a master catfisher at all - in fact i've only caught a few over 10lbs - just stating what is accepted as fact by knowing people who fish catfish tournaments watching shows on it etc. Liver CAN and DOES catch some big cats, I will not argue with you that fact. All I am saying is that the AVERAGE fish will be larger on live bait or cut bait than livers. hope that clears the air :)
 
i see what your saying but the best bait would be to jump in the water and stick fingers in a hole and noodle and hope something else dont bite lol
