Best catfish bait

I'm interested in what everyone uses for catfish bait. I have good look with chicken liver. what do you use, and has anyone used craw fish I heard they're good to use as well.

I used to use chicken liver also but have found market shrimp to stay on the hook a lot better and seems just as effective.

Monster shad that usually are cut up slightly for scent dispersal, chicken liver, nightcrawlers, large sunfish/bluegill (flatheads and blue cats), bread at most local ponds, and hot dogs and such for trotlines ~Trent

M&M combo (mealworms w/ marshmallows)
shrimp cocktail (shrimo w/ marshmallow)
raw shrimp
chicken livers with garlic powder
plain CL.
Frogs non poisoness ones
ummm..theres a bunch of good baits for catfish...just depends on what kind and size you want to catch.

cut up mullet. any kind of liver. worms.

The best I have found...and I have caught some large cats.

Channel Cats - Worms are good, Chicken lever that has been cured so it will stay on the hook better. Add Garlic or Anise.

Blue Cats - Fresh Shad. The best by heads and tails if they are in the waters you are fishing. Live cut bluegill and then liver and nightcrawlers.

Flatheads - Live Bluegill, baby carp. I have heard small gar work well also.

2/0 to 4/0 circle hooks for the blues and flatheads.
