Best chem to remove chloramines

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
prime still gives you the best bang for your buck, especially when compared to competitors

I use ChlorAm-X and my fish do very well. It comes in as a dry powder, so you can buy in bulk and it doesn't go bad. I do weekly water changes in my 125 for two motoro rays and my 5lb tub has been around longer than I can remember.

Just an alternative to think about.

As the title says, I change a fair amount of water out a week. I am looking for bulk chem that will allow for removal of chloramines and other stuff that is not 10ml for 10 gal. I am tired of using half a bottle to change my 360 setup a lone. Anyone wanna chime in.

The real deal is Sodium Thiosulphate, more commonly referred to as "Fixer" by folks who develop their own photographic prints in the old school method.

Any of the sulphate complexes that are used in pool and hot tub dechlorinators will work as well and in this day and age are a lot easier to get. Make sure you follow the directions and be carefull not to overdose too heavily.

another vote for prime
