Best Cichlid for 55 gallon?

What's the best cichlid for a 55 with a Senegal Bichir?
I won't be upgrading so permanent home.

I agree with a rainbow, sajica, convict, hrp and firemouth.if you want just one cichlid any of these can live in a 55 for its life.

I think you might need to upgrade to atleast a 75 with a jd and bichir.
