Best cichlids with Hrp Cons

are they HRPs or are they convicts? Im on the side that doesnt believe they are the same fish.

Spawning HRPs are less aggressive than spawning cons.

Ive had both in small and large tanks and HRPs have never taken over a tank like cons do...never.

I have or have had HRPs & cons with just about every cichlid Ive kept, so Id say they can work with most everything. Strong enough to hold their own yet passive enough to not take over a tank.

I had a male HRP that paired off with my female Convict and he got pretty brutal during spawning. They managed to hold off my Flowerhorn that was 3 times their size to protect their spawn.

they are 75% Hrp and 25% pink Con. can they hold their own against a dovii?

Definitely not, Dovii get HUGE and could almost eat a full grown Convict in one gulp.
