common pleco and school of clown loaches for the extra food!

i think the problem with getting loaches and catfish is that its adding to ur stock bioload. they grow big and some are just plain lazy.

My oscar and vieja munch their food and it flys out their gills, that's why i have a large school of black widow tetras to eat it before it lands. (A temporarily relationship, of course.)

Ditto on the gravel vac--weekly, etc. BN are cool put crap everywhere. Work in frequent water changes and the fish will love it.

I have a combination of catfish and gravel hoover regulary, I have a common Plec, Gibbi Plec, 2 x Raphaels, Cuckoo and Featherfin Syno's and a Pictus.

I'm using julie corys snails and a common pleco, I am just growing out tho, idk if the corys would last with big boys.

Why are clown loaches so expensive? Would really like to get some of them.

I have a Featherfin and he does ok with most fish that are not too aggressive. Down side is that Featherfin's are slimecoat eaters. Any slow moving fish will be relentlessly harrassed by them. Big and active fish will be fine. They don't seem to eat as much food as Raphaels though.

malaysian trumpet snails

12 cents a pop and insanely tiny get like 50, they'll reproduce on their own, but will only reproduce to how much food there is in the tank and will stay in the substrate unless water parameters are crappy
