i want to hear some opinions on the best Community fish food. i.e. food for tetra, barbs, loaches. etc etc.

personally experience would be great but not necessary.

also, is there LFS fish food that should be stayed away from?

thanks.

blood worms. There's a LFS that has em live close by where I live and the fish love them! Plus the blood worms spread out so not all of the top feeders don't eat them all and the bottom dwellers get some :-) Plus I believe they are pretty healthy. Just don't feed em too often with live blood worms, they get spoiled and stop taking the flakes...

All my fish like Tetra Min Pro. Its a crisp not flake so it doesn't seem make as big of a mess as tetra min flake. I have fed it to mollys, swordtails, platies, jack dempseys, covicts, rainbow cichlids, a dojo loatch, and bettas. They all loved it.

My semi community with a pair of angels and a small laetacara dwarf cichlid has a staple of Ken's Premium Floating/Sinking Cichlid pellets (1.5mm) from kensfish.com. I'll also feed them his Premium Sinking Pellets w/ Spirulina.

He makes pellets lots of stuff for community fish too, although I can't see the cichlid pellets being bad for anything.

2mm growth pellet high in protein and fat from kens
