I tried Giant Danios but I would lose one every night to my jag. Now I have 5 silver dollars, and they are working well.

Jags are extremely predatory though, a little different than the fish he'll be keeping them with.

I would get hampala barbs... cheap... fast... schooling... and a sweet monster to join your others...

reason I'd go with the danios is because they have the two factors of being fast and inexpensive, which is they key for dithers IMO when using them in tanks with aggressive fish
