Best Dithers for Grammodes??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Update~

The Grammodes are doing well using 4 smaller cons and 3 giant D's as dithers. Nor have they been shy since they got comfortable. The Large females have put on about .5" in the few weeks of having them. the males have shown to be mellow. The larger Male (2") has been very quiet but of all of them small unsexed ones so far. I have what seems to be a male in the small group that has been running everyone out of his turf. I am gonna have to watch that one. hard to seperate and power grow when I pull everything out for a Vac and WC. I would like to move him, isolate, power grow as he has been the perfect canidate for the new 125 community.

I will post some shots tonight!

I have a Striped Anostomus in my Convict breeding tank as a dither. He's very quick but my male convict still loves to chase him.

for targetfish/dithers giant danio's and silver dollars are always the common fish to use for targets and dithers! but most anything for dithers is something that likes to swim around out in the middle and isnt skiddish!

but for the use of dithers you may not want to use silverdollars because of their skiddish personality!

so yea sometype of larger barb or tetra should work out fine!:D

(just for future reference!):D

IME Giant danios are to fast and little to no attention get's paid to them. I have them in with my Festae pair and he would much rather beat on her than chase them, they're just to fast and he knows it.

Dithers are for making fish feel secure. You are referring to 'target fish'.
