Best DSLR for fish under 1,000 total setup.

Think about dust or dirt on the sensor all pictures will have spots on them from that and cleaning the sensor is not something I would imagine you would want to do. You need to know what your doing and it's expensive to get them cleaned. A good deal can cost you more if it's not such a good deal after the fact. Getting this camera will do everything you would want to do and with some time learning better photography and actually being able to use all the settings of the camera it will get even better. My wife has one of these but the t3i and they are good cameras. And the price has just recently come down so they are a great deal.

As a person who probably won't work professionally with cameras and just wants to take great fish photos The Cannon is a good start I imagine.
 
you can buy a refurbished canon t2i using canon loyalty program for about $400.00. google it and you'll see what in talking about. rather buy a refurb than used camera.

There's good deals out there, just find out what you want, and whats more important to you, the body or accessories, I got a cheaper camera so I could get multiple lenses. If you're curious about any camera search its review on dpreview.com and you'll find all you need to know about it.
 
I could get a refurb T3i for under 700. hmmm... I mean what do I need, not too much I expect how much does a remote flash cost to setup, not a terrible amount unless I'm looking at the wrong stuff, maybe 100-150. Grab a decent tri pod and I'm good to go.
