Best Fahaka Set up?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There are folks who have purchased larger fahakas from the wild who keep laying eggs (unfertile) for a while. Those are the only ones we know the sex for sure. Otherwise, just pick one.

As far as Filbert's color, I was looking for the bright maroon some of them have, like this one:

Alright, I edited that pic 5x, I don't have time to do it again... Just click on the pic to see it.

Oh for some reason I thought you could but think may have got mind boggled! Here is the tank now set up with black sand substrate. Currently an internal running until new pipes for external. Have bogwood to the right, fake tree root to the left and mixture live and silk around the edges. I was planning on getting a very big bit of lengthy bogwood to run the middle but wondering if too much. What do you think my fahaka experts :)

Edit: Only just seen new posts, thanks for that Pufferpunk, I wont mind either way as long as it is a healthy fahaka :)

^ You may want add some sort of cave and a bit of Driftwood for your fahaka to hide in once its in your tank...

Large driftwood it is then! One thing I have now to sort out is I was given a 300w heater for the tank. It is working but perhaps too well... as I had it set at 77F and now at 74F but the temperature is reading at 80F (steady at this temp) but unsure what to do?
